day safari departing from Hervey Bay, Sunshine Coast or Rainbow
Beach takes you to
Fraser Island on the Fraser Venture ferry from River Heads, After a 30
minute cruise (Hervey Bay), you board your 4WD coach, with your friendly and very
experienced guide, and 10 minutes later you are in the heart of the
rainforest.
A stop at the historic heart of Fraser, Central Station,
is followed by a walk to Pile Valley along Wanggoolba Creek
amongst luxuriant rainforest.
Your tour will
continue to Eurong Beach Resort on the absolute surf beachfront
for an excellent hot and cold buffet lunch, and you will be shown to
your quality unit accommodation.
After lunch you will visit Lake Wabby, a jewel
of a lake with a huge sandblow dropping sheer into it, for swimming and
exploring. Back at the resort you will be served a three course dinner,
followed by an evening socialising at the bar beside the second pool
with games, karaoke or cable TV.
After a buffet breakfast next morning, your safari
coach will drive you along the Seventy Five Mile Beach to Eli
Creek, The Maheno Shipwreck and the Cathedrals
coloured sand cliffs.
Another great lunch and then you will head to Lake
McKenzie for a swim before returning to Hervey Bay.
Those who prefer to continue south to Noosa will
travel via Inskip Point, Rainbow Beach, The Cherry Venture and Teewah
Beach. This must be Pre-booked.
